Malibu Rising

After devouring Daisy Jones & The Six and The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, I was so excited to hear Taylor Jenkins Reid was publishing a book in May. The cover and description just sound perfect for a summer read too: “Four famous siblings throw an epic party to celebrate the end of the summer. But over the course of twenty-four hours, the family drama that ensues will change their lives will change forever.

Memphis by Tara M. Stringfellow

This book is set in the summer of 1995 and is described as “A spellbinding debut novel tracing three generations of a Southern Black family and one daughter’s discovery that she has the power to change her family’s legacy.” I am excited to dig into this one as I have heard rave reviews on how it just pulls you in with the authors excellent writing.

Beach Read

I mean…. the book title pretty much speaks for itself right? I have yet to read any Emily Henry books so this one seemed fitting to start with. It is described as “A romance writer who no longer believes in love and a literary writer stuck in a rut engage in a summer-long challenge that may just upend everything they believe about happily ever afters.

Elin Hilderbrand The Hotel Nantucket

The Hotel Nantucket is one of Elin Hilderbrand’s recent releases. I see her books everywhere now that I have moved to New England since they are set in this area. This plot seemed intriguing to start my dive into Elin Hilderbrand’s books – who doesn’t love a good scandal??

The Night Film

I probably should have saved this one for Fall because that is when I usually deep dive into thriller books. However, I could NOT resist. The storyline of this book sounded so intriguing and it came highly recommended.

I am not typically drawn to romance novels but if I had a dollar for every time this book was recommended on booktok…I do love a good rom-com. This book is described as “A TikTok sensation, this rom-com about a young woman who agrees to fake date a colleague and bring him to her sister’s wedding has “everything you could want in a romance”.
